Life is full of
colours - we just need to experience and feel
the difference in each colour. Every colour of
our life brings new situations and new challenges.
We just need to accept them and face them. Running
from the problem, avoiding the problem or not
acknowledging the problem never provides a solution.
So just accept the situation as it is, and face
it. And you will see that you will emerge the
winner.
Santosh Nair – (The motivator)
has mentioned an incident in his cassettes, which
I will include below:
“There was a family coming from a picnic
in their personal vehicle, and they had an accident
with a truck. The man lost a leg and his wife.
But after this incident, he started convincing
himself. He gave himself a time limit of four
days, during which he would cry for his family
and his leg. And on the fifth day, he slowly but
surely started looking after his business and
decided not to cry any further for an incident
which happened and which could not be turned back.
He accepted the fact of the accident and but he
chose not to waste the rest of his life.”
In fact we “write”
our day, each morning. If in the morning we get
up with an attitude that goes, “Oh today
I have lots of work and my day is going to go
very bad and tiring”, it surely will be
bad and tiring. But if we were to just get up
and say to ourselves, “I am going to enjoy
my work and I am going to do it to the best of
my ability” or any other similar line with
which we can convince ourselves, the results will
surely be more enjoyable.
I am not saying that I am enjoying
my life 100% or that I understand life to its
fullest. But I have used this concept several
times, and I find that it does work!
A case in point is the Inter-House
Computer Quiz Competition. A day before, I was
a bundle of nerves. But on my way, to the Competition
I was confident that it would go well. And it
DID. When we are nervous, it is that nervousness
which makes us commit mistakes. The bottom line
is that we just need to believe in ourselves.
There are a few good lines which
go as follows:
If you think you are beaten – you
are beaten
If you think you are a looser- you are a looser
If you think you can’t do it - you will
never be able to do it
But at the same time
If you think you will win- you will be
the winner
No one in this world is perfect,
and nobody’s life is only full of joy and
happiness. It is how YOU DECIDE to enjoy the joy
and happiness, and how YOU REACT to the challenges
that life throws at you, that determines how happy
or miserable your life is going to be.
Let us all try to LIVE our
life with a little difference for the better.
