When we browse the net, very often we see a statement or an advertisement that says ‘Start Blogging. Its free!’ or ‘Create your own Blog now’. So what is this ‘blogging’? We will try to throw some light on this, through this article.
Do you have the habit of writing a diary? The notations may be your personal thoughts, gossip, challenges to the world, your Poetry, your Announcement to the world, any and every thing that you may want to note down. There are no specific rules or formats to write a diary. So your diary is whatever you want it to be!

Now imagine writing diaries online? Sharing your thoughts with the rest of the world! A blog will help you do this. A blog is an online writing space (a website), where you can type that which is in your store of thoughts, on an ongoing basis. It may be stupid or brilliant! Never mind, just post it. The visitors to your blog, may comment on it, through an mail to you. You will become recognized name in the E-World!

As Bloggers.com aptly puts it: "A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world."

Since its creation (5 years ago), blogs touched each and every aspects of life, be it politics, journalism, films, literature, etc. It reshaped the web and gave voice to millions. They used it as a tool to protest, help and inform. It has grown as a tool and medium to convey ideas and thoughts.

Why blog? Browsing is interesting if you are sharing it with others. You can become an author or a publisher. Some bloggers are better than our writers! No body can censure your thoughts on your blog! It improves your writing skills. Even a non-IT savvy individual can write his material on a blog. You can form a group of like-thinking individuals on your blog.
You can tell the world something, as you pass. While writing this article I am thinking of the restrictions of article writing. If I were writing a blog, I would have freedom from all restrictions. So, blog, blog and blog, you will become a self publisher! May be you may inspire some one, you have never met. Or you may convey to an unknown person the very important message that ‘You are not alone’
