In the concluding article of this
series, I would like to discuss about Third Party Plug
Ins or Filters. Image Editing Software comes up with
its own set of filters, which may not be sufficient
to meet the needs of user. We have to Third Party Filters
that are available in a wide range. If you are using
Photoshop, once the filters are installed, they generate
the menu with the list of Photoshop filters, and hence
you can work with these filters within Photoshop.
These two pictures are clicked with a Nikon F70, using
close-up settings and I have applied Third Party Plug
Ins to get different effects.

Filters are unlimited. You can get single click filters,
where you do not have any control over the result. You
also get the filters with numerous settings to control
the degree of effect. You can use a single filter or
use them in combination to create desired effects. Using
filters may be the easiest job in Digital Arts but using
it skillfully to create professional work needs a lot
of practice and experience. Sometimes you do not get
the exact filter to fulfill your requirement, then you
have to use other tools to fill the gap.
Making frames is an art. There are so many effects
and textures available in the market, that it Is really
a challenge to choose the proper, suitable border, artwork,
texture and color, to make a frame which is suitable
for the subject. I have pasted above, a few samples
to give you an idea, about how frames can add to the
beauty of an image.
In the end, I would like to conclude with a Zen quote
about learning.
"There is no transference of secrets
from master to disciple.
Teaching is not difficult, listening is not difficult
either,
but what is truly difficult is to become conscious
of what you have in yourself and be able to use it as
your own."
