| Replacing an object
is a tricky job in the field of Digital Arts. Most of
us are familiar with Digital Art only because of the
impact of this technique. We see many magazines using
this feature. You must be clear about what you want
to erase and what you want to place in the place.
Lets us try out using am image. I have been given a
full size photograph to extract the essential part of
the photograph, for attaching the photograph to an article
in a magazine. I cropped the image that could be used
along with the text (at the right). Then I had to replace
the jewellery with something simple and elegant that
would be appropriate for a photograph to accompany an
article, as the golden necklace in the original photograph
was a bit too flashy.

I have given a darker version (on the left side) just
to give you a prominent picture of the jewellery which
I was supposed to replace. The first step was to erase
the existing gold necklace. We can use the combination
of stamp, healing brush and patch tool for the proper
removal of the original necklace (image at the right
side).

Placing another simple necklace was the tricky part.
I had to search for the proper necklace first. The image
I had with me was with a black background. I had to
remove the background and transform the image, to place
it around the neck. It needed a bit of retouching to
make it look natural.
