The INTER – HOUSE COMPUTALK
2005-06 conducted by ASCII Pvt. Ltd. at CUMBALLA HILL HIGH
SCHOOL for both senior and junior category was held on 6th
February 2006.
The host for the senior category Pratik Mehta
of Std X welcomed the guests and judges for the event and
also informed the rules to the audience. The judges were Miss.
Y. Chagla (Head Mistress Cumballa Hill High School) and Mr.
Mukesh Vispute (Education Manager ASCII Pvt. Ltd.)
The participants were given the topics only
20 mins. before the start of their talk. There were two teams
representing each house. The topics for the senior category
were:
- Digital Animation Frame vs. Manual Animation
Frame
- ATM
- Career in IT Field
- Digital Home guard
- Internet boon or curse to students.
- Multimedia
- Bluetooth Technology
- Computer a boon or curse to Doctors
The second runner’s up in the senior’s
category was the team of Mehernosh Dhondy and Manan Kothari
of the Keller House, first runners up Nabila Darvesh and Harsh
Shah of the Milton House and the winners were Pratik Phand
and Ronak Doshi of the Forbes House.
For the junior category the INTER –
HOUSE COMPUTALK started at 12.30 p.m. and was hosted by Rishabh
Parikh and Hinal Vakharia of Std VII. The guests Mrs. Chubb
(Principal) and Miss. Y. Chagla, judges Mrs. Darbary and Mr.
Mukesh Vispute were welcomed by the host and the hostess.
The topics were:
- Computer a boon or curse for students
- Computer as a Friend
- MS- Paint vs. Manual Painting
- Virus
- Computers a boon or curse to Film Industry
- Can Computer replace Man?
- Computer as my Postman
- Computer as my Tourist Guide
The second runner’s up in the junior’s
category was the team of Vidhi Vira and Kaustubh Pagar of
the Keller House, first runners up Yash Kanabar and Darshan
Patel of the Forbes House and the winners were Vallari Chaurasia
and Mihir Doshi of the Tagore House.
A day of excitement and enthusiasm came to
a close with the prize distribution and the losers pledging
to come up with better force and expertise next year to take
home the winning shield.
